Approximately four years ago in 2010, I saw the most unbelievable happening. My adorable Yorkshire Terrier named, Wizzie, saved a drowning kitty from my family’s pool in San Diego. It was an astonishing act of bravery for this 7 lb. bundle of fur. If you know anything about a Yorkie, they’re fearless and have a big dog's demeanor. Being a writer, I knew I had a story to tell. However, I wasn't a children’s picture book writer. In fact, I had written romance fiction and was a very descriptive writer.
When I spoke to my friend, Lynne Berger, she thought it would make a great story and we should write it together. I was elated since Lynne is a very talented children’s book writer whom I have grown to respect and love. We wrote the story together, but it kept getting postponed due to personal issues. In the summer of 2014, Lynne and I decided to move on with the Wizzie project. I would like to introduce you to ‘Wizzie’, my very own wonder dog. I think this story will reinstate your belief in courage and heroism. Please feel free to ask any questions about Wizzie or our future plans for this wondrous series. Your input and encouragement are welcome.
